Goat is a lean, nutritious meat and one of the most common meats eaten around the world. Our pasture-raised goats have access to awesomely diverse browse, yielding delicious meat with a rich, complex flavor.
Our pasture-raised goats forage on nutrient dense herbs, brush, and woody plants, including multi-flora rose, blackberry, knapweed, knotweed, hawthorn, and goldenrod. They are natural co-grazing companions to the lovely Jersey cow herd at Stony Pond Farm.
How to reserve your goat
We currently have live wether goats for sale ranging 40-70lbs.
If you would like to slaughter your own goat under Vermont’s On-farm Personal Use exemption we are happy to accommodate you.
If you would like a whole goat, but do not want to perform the slaughter, we can hire an itinerant slaughterer for you and deliver the whole animal to you or to a custom butcher to cut up to your specifications.
If you would like us to custom raise a kid to your preferences (weight, gender, age, intact or castrated) please contact us as close to kidding (late March) as possible so that we can meet your needs.
